Description

Forsaken is a Wretched & Alone solo journaling TTRPG inspired by premillenial dispensationalist Christian theology and Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins' Left Behind series of novels. It aims to satirize the ideology of these beliefs, and warn players of the ideology driving them. In Forsaken, you will struggle to survive the Trial of the True God as foretold in the Scripture, while enduring the machinations of the Deceiver.

Cost of production

Inspired by Armanda, I want to break down the labor involved in creating this game. This game took between 20 and 25 hours to create, and is valued at approximately $420 USD (nice).

This game is roughly 4200 words long, valued at a rate of $0.08 per word, comes out at $336 USD. It took 5 hours to do the layout and formatting of the game, a rate of $8/hr comes out to $40 USD. It took about 2 hours to find, edit, and properly cite the art ($16 USD). And I purchased Affinity Publisher for $25 USD to format the game. I added the last $3 because 417 isn't a funny number.

I hope this breakdown demonstrates the time and effort put into creating a game of this scale. Please consider purchasing it so I can continue to write weird and fun games in the future.
