Clearly, the world needs a few more heroes, and the most important thing a hero like you can do to save the world is take care of yourself, first. Then, you’ll be ready to face every challenge that comes your way with confidence and joy.

  Luckily, you have The Healthy Adventurer: a story-game add-on to help you introduce more self-care and wellness into your life by directly connecting healthy practices to the games that you are already playing!

  This system is compatible with ANY game in which you play the role of a single character at a time, and is designed to work best with tabletop-roleplaying games and solo journalling games. Simply print and play!

  As you play, you will be able to track your personal progress and develop good habits by being rewarded for doing healthy stuff. What’s not to love?

  Keep in mind that Boosts will increase your chances of success in-game, so be prepared! Make harder challenges for your heroes to face, create unique ways for Boosts to be spent, or simply enjoy the increased element of heroism!

  The Healthy Adventurer is meant to be a tool for encouragement and creativity. It is NOT meant to be used as a means to justify judging yourself or others. Don’t choose Prompts that you know you’ll never do, and then beat yourself up about it! Likewise, don’t judge any other player at the table for the Prompts that they choose. Everyone has different needs, and it is already a healthy activity to show up and play some story-games with friends. Encourage each other and work together as a team, just like your characters!
