You are training to be a firefighter, and the last test will determine what rank you get. It's a simulated wildfire in a forest, complete with survivors waiting to be rescued. Find new sources of water and equipment to help combat the fire and get the survivors to the safety of a fire shelter before the wind blows in the wrong direction and you're left looking for a different career.

Fire Rescue is a solo game inspired by a light version of the Carta system. Pick up water and items along the way to fight the fire and get as many survivors to the fire shelter as you can. The more you save, the better you score at the end of the game. There are different difficulty levels so newer players and seasoned players alike can enjoy the game.

• Recommended: 1 player; age 5+
• Materials: A handful of 4-sided or 6-sided dice and a standard deck of playing cards. Optional: The printout of the cards and tokens (all cut out) and 24 card sleeves. Packing tape can also help the tokens last longer.

The Print-n-Play Edition includes two card types, either of which can be used to play the game depending on preference. The breakdown is:

• 24 custom cards (poker sized) with card backs
• 24 custom cards (80mm x 80mm) with card backs

The Backyard Edition includes information for how to play with a standard deck of playing cards and a handful of six-sided dice, complete with a table to interpret the different cards.
