The War is over, and your Hearts must return Home.

Our Armistice is a two-player story game about partners who have been torn about by conflict beyond themselves. It was, oddly enough, inspired by a discussion I saw on Twitter about playing sex workers within the context of a traditional RPG world. This prompted me to consider gamifying what it must be like to be a "hero" in the aftermath of the end of a massive conflict or quest, ready to come back to the person they love the most.

You and your partner will choose between the roles of Hero and Lover, weave the love story between your characters, build a Home together, describe the nature of the War that has separated the both of you (and if War is a constant thing that does this), then play out the Hero's Return. It has been written in a way to include cues through physical touch and limited props, but is also capable of being played in a way that requires no contact whatsoever.

This game's design was an exercise in promoting the beauty of Filipino art. All the images used here are of classic Filipino paintings.
