You and your friends headed up to a remote cabin in the woods for a weekend of fun. What no one could have predicted was the strange blizzard that came out of nowhere and trapped you all inside. It's been a week. Supplies are running low. Everyone is getting on each other's nerves. And if that isn't enough, you've just found an ominous door in the cellar that is covered in chains and occult symbols. There's a voice on the other side of that door that wants you to let it out. 

The Winter Door is a one-shot horror scenario for 3-5 players and 1 Guide. It uses its own rules lite system based on the Breathless framework. Easy to pick up, learn, and play within 15 minutes. The players will have to manage surviving the cold and scarcity, each other, and the malevolent Entity behind the Winter Door. Inspired by The Evil Dead and The Thing.

Features

• A simple, but stress inducing dice mechanic. Every time you roll a die, whether it succeeds or fails, the die drops by one size. Managing the group's resources and the character's traits are key.
• 70 random events ranging from a clogged chimney to the floor transforming into the surface of a frozen lake. The events get worse as the 7 locks on the door are removed.
• 20 journal entries from the cabin's previous inhabitants telling the story of how this nightmare started.
• Every character has a dark secret that the Entity will use against them. A character can let it be revealed to avoid doom, but will the other ever trust them again?
• Original creepy artwork made by a real human person. 

Content Warnings: Isolation, betrayal, violence, occult and undead, past trauma, starvation, body horror, spiders, death, and loss of agency.
