Description

Update: I've redesigned the game into a .pdf! The original text-only file is still available, as well. Thanks so much for all the downloads and support of this game over the years; I know it's a little one, but I like to think it's brought folks catharsis.

Content warning: this game deals with issues of homophobia, transphobia, conservative political views, coming out, family arguments, hostile relatives, stressful family holidays, and other potentially triggering topics along those lines.

Three days ago, you came out to your parents. They were accepting, but they’re still “processing” the news, whatever that means, and are sort of avoiding you now. Today, you have a big family event with all the extendeds—Grandma, Grandpa, aunts and uncles, cousins, all of ‘em—and you’re not exactly…politically aligned.

This game is a revenge power fantasy for queer kids with shitty families who either can't cut them out or have a hard time doing so without alienating themselves from the rest of the relatives they enjoy spending time with. It's a silly little journaling exercise with die-rolling and coin-flipping gameplay (links included to online tools for those who prefer them) meant to help all of us who suffer through family get-togethers get a little written or recorded revenge on those who claim to love us but would rather change us or let us die.
