This pattern is translated directly by Harrarke, from a ukrainian shirt, commonly called a "Vyshyvanka", dating back to the early to mid 19-hundrets.

These are some of my favorite patterns thus far, despite grey hairs they gave me! The colour combination seems fairly unusual as best i can tell but it softens the look of the patterns quite a bit.
