Description

Shuffleboard Dungeon was originally created for the GMTK 2022 Game Jam. It was developed further, on and off, over the course of ten months. It is the first non-game-jam game that I've completed. It's not what I dreamed it could be, but it does work, and it is fun, and it is done. I hope you enjoy.

Ever wanted to combine your love of outdoor shot put and/or curling with the perils of dungeon crawling? Wait no longer!

Roll your way through over thirty encounters with careful aim and thoughtful strategy. Learn the strengths and weaknesses of different enemies as you battle your way through a Gothic citadel. Choose from eighteen different unique upgrades to build a character entirely your own.

How to Play

  •  Click and drag dice to roll them
    • The rolling is a bit finnicky, particularly on smaller screens. Try using as smooth a motion as possible, but experiment!
    • There is a decent amount of skill involved and you have to figure out how the dice physics. It's possible to land 90% of them in the attack zone.
  •  Activating a die has different effects based on what zone it's in: the blue zone on the left is a basic attack, but you'll add different zones throughout the game.
  • If you miss and land in the black "deadzone", you have to activate the die to get it back.
  • The top screen has your health (in red, above character) and the enemies you're battling against. Defeat them to move on to the next encounter.
  • You will heal and upgrade your character at campfires.
  • If you die, the game ends.
